In November 2025, a spectacular private house overlooking the Malgrat Islands became the setting for an unforgettable inauguration celebration. Conceived as a refined outdoor event experience, the evening combined architectural precision, landscape sensitivity, and contemporary event design at the highest level.

From the outset, the site presented significant spatial and environmental challenges. The property’s sculptural garden and infinity pool required a carefully considered intervention to ensure the celebration felt seamless rather than imposed.

Designing a Level Landscape for a Contemporary Outdoor Event Celebration

One of the first strategic decisions was to deck over the pool, creating a perfectly level surface aligned with the surrounding grass and sculptures. This allowed the event layout to flow naturally across the terrain while preserving the architectural integrity of the house.

The TS125 cupola was positioned with extraordinary precision — leaving just 10 centimeters of clearance between surrounding sculptures. This level of accuracy, achieved through detailed 3D modelling, demonstrates how contemporary event architecture can adapt to complex residential environments without compromising design intent.

The structure was extended with a single portico to the north and an unusual double portico to the south. This configuration allowed for fourteen elegantly arranged banqueting tables while preserving generous circulation and a dedicated dance area — essential in the event of inclement weather.

An Immersive Guest Experience Under Rain

As persistent heavy October rain settled over the bay, the cupola revealed its true strength. The interior felt articulated, protected, and acoustically intimate. Rather than detracting from the atmosphere, the weather heightened the sense of enclosure and precision within the structure.

Guests dined beneath a spatial geometry that felt both sculptural and fluid. The event planner, Alex from Lifetime Events, developed a contemporary chromatic landscape through carpeting and table dressing that playfully followed the curves of the architecture, reinforcing the immersive character of the space.

Live Music in an Intimate Architectural Setting

A small jazz band performed from within an S20 stage, seamlessly integrated into the layout. The scale of the stage allowed the musicians to remain close to the guests, creating a refined and intimate ambiance that extended late into the night.

The combination of spatial clarity, live music, and panoramic sea views produced a layered sensory experience — one where architecture, landscape, and celebration merged effortlessly.

From Rain to Blue Skies: A Closing Brunch by the Sea

The following morning, under clear blue skies, the space transformed once again. A relaxed brunch closed what had become a truly memorable inauguration. The same architectural framework that had protected guests from rain the night before now framed open views toward the Malgrat Islands, reinforcing the versatility of the design.

This Santa Ponsa inauguration demonstrates how bespoke event structures can elevate private celebrations into architectural experiences. When landscape, precision engineering, and event design align, the result goes beyond function — it becomes spatial storytelling.
